Of course when I heard our ScrapHappy family was having another tag swap, I signed up to play along and make a spring tag!

I’m totally going to out myself right now… I watch The Bachelor (oh, the horror, I know!!), but during one of the last episodes earlier this year, I noticed how pretty one of the contestants looked wearing a lavender dress with a wall of greenery behind her… That color combo clearly stuck with me and completely popped in my mind when coming up with the concept for this tag! And as I fleshed out my concept, I grabbed my chevron stencil for the background and noticed the pattern in one of the hearts in The Crafter’s Workshop Mix & Match Hearts stencil – I thought it would make a great pattern on the egg, kinda made me think of Dinosaur eggs. Yeah, I don’t know why either, but I seriously LOVE it 🙂

I created this video showing how I made it… there’s gesso, stencils, inks, embossing, stamping… a little bit of everything!
