Treasure // Family & Faith {Photo Challenge}

Leave it to the Daily Post to prompt me to get deep this week…

As I contemplated the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure, I thought about all the stuff I can’t live without… my iPhone 5, my Canon 60D, my MacBook Pro, my Keurig, my scrappy and art supplies, and on and on. But then I realized the obvious…

All of these things would be meaningless without my family and faith.

I would be lost without them. My hubby and my girls mean the world to me. They’re the reason I wake up, the reason I do everything I do, they make me want to be a better person. My faith keeps me grateful, grounded, keeps the world in perspective, and fills me with hope and a great sense of community. And when I started writing this post, I asked my 7 yr old what she treasures most — the very first thing that came out of her mouth was “my sister” — and that’s when I knew that all of this, even the hard days, are so totally completely worth it! My treasures of family and faith were so completely evident to me when she said “my sister” and I can’t help but feel proud and fulfilled with my many blessings!

  1. Connie you have a beautiful family. As a mom and wife as well, I can’t think of anything else I treasure more. Of course a close second would be my “scrappy” stuff….bahahahaha.
