A field trip with my first graders class to Balboa Park a couple weeks ago yielded catching this little visitor in the frame! I was clearly going for the beautiful water lily, but then out popped a little turtle head. Bonus! Do you see him?

You never know what might pop up when you least expect it. The turtle brings a wonderful element of surprise to an already interesting shot. 🙂

Thanks Rene! Nope, no polarizing filter, just the UV filter to protect my glass 🙂 It was pretty close to high noon and I loved the way the light lit up the lily!
