Welcome to another Make It Monday! Do you know that Fall is my absolute favorite season? Kinda crazy considering San Diego is in a perpetual summer, but it’s true… I absolutely love Fall!
In the US, we still have Halloween this month and most of the month of November before we celebrate Thanksgiving on November 27th, but I’m creating samples for a class I’m teaching next month, and thought I’d go ahead and share these creations as Canada is celebrating their Thanksgiving Day today. Cheers, Canada!
PROJECT TIP: Get cohesion in your choices! When I was conceptualizing my projects – selecting colors and papers for these banners – I had the fun idea to add texture to the kraft paper. But what type of texture? I let the theme of the papers lead my decision… leaves and trees, so adding wood grain texture to the neutral kraft cardstock seemed like the perfect fit! Did you notice it on the banners? What do you think? Pretty cool, huh?!
If you’d like to order either of these banners, please visit my Etsy shop! I’m adding more to it every week 🙂 If you have any special orders, I can help you there too! Just send me a private message!
So did you land on my colorful corner of the crafty-bloggy world coming from Kristie Sloan at Artful Adventures? She’s showing how Base and Bling products can be used for other purposes, not just crafty jewelry! I love how Kristie gets us to think outside the box with so many products! Connie, I adore your banner. Great advise to think about what you are using for texture, backgrounds, etc, to create a cohesive look for a project!

I love the leaf paper one the best. Its so me!! OMG! I gotta get those lawn fawn templates. My son loves when we do a banner or countdown… just the thought of him getting to help me make it, is so exciting. Thanks for sharing that!!! Gorgeous as usual Connie, you are so talented! Hugs!

What gorgeous banners Connie. I can’t believe you used a die to cut all those out. My new Cricut Explore should be here today so I was thinking about making some banners but with my Cricut.
