Intricate // Macro Details {Photo Challenge}

I’m squeaking in at the 11th hour with my submission to the Daily Post photo challenge this week. The theme is “Intricate” and these recent photos are totally in my mind with the amazing details that get overlooked so very often.

Have you ever looked closely at the details on the petals of a rose? Or the wick of a candle? Sometimes, it’s just the little things that fascinate!

I truly love when my girls notice the world around them and proudly point out their discovery to me. Maybe it’s the photographer in me, but it’s definitely the mama in me, that smiles ear-to-ear, happy and proud that my girls are observant and appreciative of the world around them! My 5-year old had to stop us dead in our tracks while we visited the San Diego Zoo with our sweet friends Lynnette and Gracie, when she noticed this beautiful heart shaped leaf. It was high above us, but somehow she noticed it and I love that she made us pause to take in it’s beauty.
