Welcome to another Make It Monday! It’s been too long, I know! My hard drive died, for the 3rd time since March (yes, it’s true, and every time has been painful!), and it completely has thrown my schedule off. But, I’m back, and hopefully without any other technical snafus!
Have you checked out the Top Dog Dies fall dies yet? They are absolutely adorable! I thought it would be so fun to make this Sugar Skull decorative tag for a teacher gift. My girls have amazing teachers and this is just a small thoughtful gift. I can’t wait to gift them soon.
To make the gift tag, I used the Top Dog Dies Sugar Skull die set with some fun patterned and glitter paper, and sequins. I was going to use some flower sequins for the eyes, but they were a bit small. Luckily, the Top Dog Dies Pretty Petals #2 die set were the perfect size for the eyes.
Hand drawing a little decorative flair on the skull forehead and outlining the nose gives it a little more artsy look, with minimal effort.
I filled a glass jar with some Hot Tamales candies and thought the combination was fun, especially for our teachers 🙂 It really was an easy project, but I love the punch that it has! I hope you’re inspired to make a custom sugar skull gift tag for someone special this spooky time of year!
Thanks for popping in to see today’s Make It Monday post! Be sure to check out Alison from Alison Day Designs – she’s sharing what happens when two sets of sisters go Trick or Treating together! Can’t wait to read Alison’s post – I’m sure it’ll be as entertaining as always!
Live (and plan) creatively!
xoxo,
