Welcome to another Make it Monday! The Christmas season is almost here and it’s time to start preparing! Perfect time to share this cute little penguin card I made using the Top Dog Dies Penguin Die Set!
The set includes the cute penguins in both sizes, both hats, the stitched hill slope and snowflakes. Really, they thought of everything for this set!
It was super quick and easy to put this card together, just cutting out the pieces from the various colored cardstock. I did use a snowflake embossing folder to give the blue background a little extra oomph, but the rest of the pieces came in the set!
I hope you’re inspired to make some penguin cards to share with your loved ones this holiday!
As always, thanks for stopping by my little colorful spot on the web! Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! And make sure you’re on the Clicky Chick Creates email list so you don’t miss a thing! Sign up here!

Help!!! I’m trying to figure out how you used the long die to create the stitched slope. Each time I cut the paper, it only cuts the slope in one direction, from left to right. Am I missing something??

Hi DonnaK!
I used 2 pieces of die cut slopes and layered them on my card. First I cut a sheet of cardstock to be slightly smaller than the card (about 1/4″ smaller on sides) and then placed the die about 2″ from the bottom, at an angle to really exaggerate the slope. After cutting that piece, I flipped the leftover cardstock and cut a second piece with the stitched slope. I added a little distress ink on the edges to tie it all together. Hope that helps! Happy Thanksgiving!
