Last month we celebrated my baby sister’s pregnancy with a couple of baby showers. So of course I had to get crafty!
She’s having a baby boy (in case the blue onesies didn’t give it away!) and I am so excited to meet him next month! My nephew will be the first boy in our family, and my daughters are thrilled to have a cousin to play with and love!
Sweet blessing indeed! I really look forward to the experiences and memories my daughters and nephew will have together! There’s nothing like building forts, or going swimming, or playing house, or sleepovers, or road trips, or birthdays, or holidays, or a million other things… with cousins! What an exciting adventure they have ahead : )
What are some of your favorite memories growing up with cousins? I’d love to hear in the comments below! Thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I am so in love with this creation. I just had to follow, as I am curious to look around at more.
To answer your question: growing up the first grandchild, on both mom n dads sides, and an only child; i remained close and connected with my cousins, mainly 5-7 of them my whole childhood! They were each from as far back as I can recall, the highlight of my life! i didnt have lots of friends but, I always had my cousins. we shared the greatest of memories together…They all also had the experience of brothers or sisters and it was something i had longed to feel for years. Cousins were closer to me than anyone truly. I did in fact get the chance to have 1 brother, just 3 days after my 21st birthday! At that point it was more like motherhood than siblings lol. Its an incredible maze our family history and the gifts are watching my brother grow WITH his nieces who are just 2 + years behind him in age!
Makes for interesting conversation as well 😉
Cheers!

Thanks so much for sharing JayNine! I too am the first grandchild on both sides and have amazing memories with my cousins (in particular, those listed in the blog!) and can’t imagine life without them still! I’m 8 and 11 yrs older than my siblings, so I can totally relate to you needing that bond with cousins : ) Thanks so much for the follow and I hope you enjoy my posts! The “Feeling Crafty” link on the left will pull up lots of crafty goodness for you to sink your teeth into : )
