Wedding Cards {Feeling Crafty}

We were invited to a couple of family weddings earlier this year and being a lover of handmade paper goods, I decided to get crafty in my craft room. I created the first card in pink and loved the way it came out, so I decided to recreate it in blue. And seeing that the prompt at Simon Says Stamp is Use a Cling or Rubber Stamp, I figured this was a great time to post these cards!

For both cards, I used the Slice Elite electronic die cutter with the “Wedding” design card to cut out the tiered cake, and the “Je t’adore” card for the L O V E hearts banner. On the pink card, I decided to cut out the cake from different patterned papers, then cut and stack them. On the blue card, I cut it from one piece of cardstock and stamped different designs on each layer. I also added a border stamp and embossed the top edges of the cake to make it look more like frosting.

I also embossed the sentiment before gluing down and added pop dots to give dimension and make the cake pop.

They were fun and fairly quick to put together. As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!

  1. You’re very clever at this. Well done. I think I ‘ll just stick to writing and photography though.
