On our trip north for Thanksgiving vacation, we decided to take a mini vacation and visit Hearst Castle. We stayed in Cambria and had the best time! While visiting the castle, I was in awe over every facet! Although I’ve been there several times, as a child and adult, the grandness was not lost on me!
We ended up enjoying most of our day there and even took in the movie at the end of the tour giving great insight into William Randolph Hearst, as well as Julia Morgan, the architect who worked on the castle for 28 years. She was amazing and grand in her own right! My 4 year old has been loving playing with blocks and building, and she was really engaged during the 40 minute film. Maybe we have a future architect on our hands : )
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!

It really is Elizabeth! If you’re ever in that neck of the woods (central coast of California), I highly recommend a visit! The surrounding areas are sublime!

Some grandness here … I passed it many years ago, but never took time to visit. I regret that now. Money can buy grandness … of nearly anything. *smile Stunning photos, stunning entry.

Truly stunning place … sometimes I get very mix feelings when I look at homes like that .. and then all the people that don’t have a home of their own.
