Every industry has it’s share of trade shows, with at least one big daddy show that *everyone* has to go to. The crafting industry is no different and CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) is the huge trade show that everyone travels near and far to get to. It’s usually in January in Anaheim, California, and I was lucky enough to get to go earlier this year, for the first time ever!

While at the show, I was quite excited to see all the new products that were on display, the booths alone were amazingly designed and decorated, and the make-n-takes were so fun to make (and take)! But nothing beat the thrill of seeing and meeting some of the industry leaders and product designers who’s artistry, styles and products I just adore! There was Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Noell and Izzy Hyman, Jennifer Gallacher, Maggie Holmes, Shimelle Laine and so many more!

One of my favorites to meet was Dyan Reaveley, the beauty and brains behind Dylusions! As much as I normally don’t like being in front of the lens and would rather hide out behind the glass, I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to get a photo with one of my favorite crafty superstars! And during LOAD214 (layout-a-day), I was able to get out some of The Crafter’s Workshop and Heidi Swapp stencils along with Dylusions Spray Inks to create my page… A page about meeting the woman behind the products, with photos of her products and her, creating the background paper using her products!
