While traveling, or even enjoying the sights in your hometown, do you take photos encompassing the scenery? Many times I tend to focus on the details (flowers, people, food, etc), I sometimes forget to take a step back and take it all in!

Views from “on top” are a great way to make a DIY postcard from travels near and far, don’t ya think?! Thanks to the Daily Post weekly photo challenge: On Top, I figured it’s a fantastic prompt to share some of my more scenic shots from the past year.

As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!

You must have been up early to get the beach at Nice empty. I have a picture from a very close position but the beach is full of people.

Not too early, but it was March, so it was definitely off season 🙂

WOW … The view from the Eiffel Tower is magnificent. Truly a blessing to have been able to visually see it and capture a photo.

I have found my best pics are the ones close up and looking at the details. However, I always love the shot of the scenery (larger view) when looking back to remember the city, place or vacation. Good suggestion to take those pics too!
Love your shot of Paris at night! Makes me want to go.

Such stunning images. Beautiful. When we’re taking such big views in, a lot of the time we feel very small 🙂
