Between telling my 7-yr old to only dip her toes in and the allure of the great beautiful Pacific Ocean, my girls decided getting totally wet in their summer dresses and jean jackets was totally appropriate!
Really, is there more to say?! Hope you’re ready to kick-off summer (officially, tomorrow, June 21st, also my birthday – woot-woot!) with as much exuberance as my 7-yr old in this shot! Also, I love, love, love this quote, so I had to pair it with this silhouette. Besides, my daughter defines the “free” and “wild” parts of childhood, this image and quote just really encapsulates her!

Finally the summer is here. And it what seems like a few hours, the long lasting (seems like forever lasting) winter will return…

Hope you get out and enjoy summer, no matter how brief it is! What part of the world are you in? Being in perpetual-summeresque San Diego, California, on occasion we long for winter days and rain for our parched land!

I’m in Oslo – the main village of Norway (a village on steroids that’s confused and pretends to be a city).

You’re funny! I’ve never been to your lovely part of the world, only made it to the European countries south / west of you. One day I hope to get there!

All my family’s celebrations are around summer. BUT my birthday and 2 good friend are 3 days in a row. My husband’s is only a few weeks later. We all used to get together and celebrate, but since we are in China now that is not possible in person. It was nice when we can do it. Takes the pressure off getting older π
