One of the things I love about San Diego, is that although it is a big city, it really has a small town feel. Lots of beautiful sights, friendly people and a great sense of community. When I arrive at an on-location photo session and realize the family that booked my session online (who I didn’t think I knew) turns out to be a family I knew from a couple years back? Such a sweet surprise and really brings in that small town feel 🙂

R, the little boy in this family, went to pre-school with my baby girl! He’s always been such a cutie! It was an absolute pleasure spending time with him and getting to know his family at our fantastic photo session.

We enjoyed the afternoon at Balboa Park and all of it’s wonderful architecture. I love it there so much, that I tend to lose track of time and just keep photographing! The family was wonderful and the boys did a great job. Being the mom to similar aged kiddos, I know that keeping their attention span isn’t the easiest, but they did phenomenal! I even suggested mom and dad let them have double treats that day for doing such a great job!
