Expecting your first baby is definitely a time filled with emotions. Excitement, love, joy, hope, and maybe a little bit of fear of the unknown! When I was pregnant with my first baby, I remember feeling pure bliss at the amazingness of creating a baby – I felt such a closeness to God, to be entrusted to bring a child into the world, and to be blessed to be her mommy. And now, when I’m with others who are pregnant, I’m reminded of that feeling and get giddy with excitement that they get that beautiful blessing too!

This gorgeous young couple is welcoming their first baby in the next few weeks and I was thrilled to chat with them about their upcoming photo needs! We picked a date for the maternity photo session at the the beach. Apparently, all of of San Diego wanted to be at the same beach that day, so we had to do a bit of maneuvering to avoid the crowds 😉 But then, as we were approaching the rocky shore and cliffs, the waves decided to have some fun with us! They were HUGE! I was a little nervous considering we were close to the edge, but she was cool as a cucumber! Definitely a great trait for an expecting mommy!
We captured lovely shots of this gorgeous couple and I can’t wait to meet their baby boy soon!
