Being in Southern California is certainly a benefit as a photographer! There are tons of lovely locations to head to for photo sessions. There are miles and miles of beaches. There are miles and miles of parks. And there are wonderful families that head to SoCal for vacations!

I was giddy with excitement to chat with Andrea from Chicago when she contacted me in search of a photographer in San Diego. Not for her own photos, but for her sister-in-law’s birthday gift! How thoughtful is that?! Andrea’s sister-in-law, Sharon, along with Sharon’s three daughters and extended family, would be vacationing in La Jolla, so we met and captured some fun memories of their visit! When we talked about vision for the session, they really wanted to be themselves and just have fun. I knew this was a perfect family for me to work with! What’s a girl to do but go out, splash around a bit, and have some fun?!

Families might be spread across the country, but there’s nothing like getting together for a family reunion to spark laughter and great memories, along with building new memories! They were all truly a pleasure to work with and I hope they have fabulous memories for a lifetime of our lovely morning out on the beach!
