A few weeks back The Daily Post has posted “Fresh” as the photo challenge for the week. And although I went in a different direction, {see post here} this post idea hasn’t stopped running around in my mind. So, here’s another post on Fresh, with images I took at the Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market!
I keep thinking I don’t head to outdoor markets as often as I’d like, but apparently I do! So far this year, I’ve been to a couple other farmer’s markets that I blogged about – one in Little Italy {San Diego}, the other in Nice {France}. I do love heading to local markets for the fresh produce, to support local small businesses and the photo opps are fantastic.
Besides the great fruits, veggies and flowers, the vendors themselves were great too, engaging with the locals, and a few that I chatted with were fairly new, recently starting their businesses.
I loved checking out the handcrafted goodness that many of the vendors offered. Here’s but a few..
And of course I had to get some breakfast while I was there. My hubby had taken our daughters to the beach, so I was able to savor every single bite of these yummy Danish pancake balls – aebleskiver – and trust me, they were delish! *Since my first visit, we’ve been back a couple times as a family, and my daughters absolutely devour these breakfast concoctions – yum, yum, yum!!
The inspiration all around at farmer’s markets is always a breath of fresh air. What do you love about your local farmer’s market? I’d love to hear! Thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!
