Both my daughters had phenomenal teachers this past year and I wanted to make some nice cards to say “thank you” to our gifted, patient, kind and dedicated teachers. I was still feeling completely inspired by the color combination over at Fusion ChallengeΒ (check out my 1st submission into this challenge, here), so I decided I’d use the colors again, but I’d add a little gold inspired by the linen colored background. I also checked outΒ Simon Says Stamp, both the Monday and Wednesday challenges, looking to see what yumminess was waiting over there. Monday’s challenge is “Anything Goes” and Wednesday’s challenge is “Stencil It” – how perfect is it that I love playing with stencils?!
Before you watch the video, let me just say, I changed a few things on the formatting… and my girls were a tad loud in the background.. such is life as a mama with 5 and 7 year old girls π I feel like I should have a “no one was hurt in the making of this video” type of disclaimer! LOL! Anywho, products are listed below with links. Let me know what you think!
Are you a carmaker, too? Have you checked out theΒ True Stamp 2014Β classes yet? Many of the techniques, tips, tricks and ideas Iβve picked up along the way as a crafter, Iβve learned in classes and videos. Each class focused on a different aspect of stamping and offered lots of samples in the class, demonstrating how each was created. The girls from Lawn Fawn created the most adorable interactive cards; Raisin Boat had some yumminess that blew my mind; Mama Elephant was rockinβ and rollin; sheesh, truly β they were all amazing! First, I love your videos! Next, what a great background stamp – embossing with gold was a wonderful idea. And finally, loved the way you put the twine around just the card front – I will have to remember this! – I always make a separate piece and adhere to card in order to wrap twine or ribbon, but this would be so easy. thanks!!
