Welcome to another Make It Monday! My friends and family know that besides God, my daughters and husband, the things I love most in life are photography and crafting! So when a friend was planning her daughter’s birthday and decided on a “lambie” party, she rang me up and asked about a customized banner!
Instead of “Happy Birthday” for the banner, she asked if I could make a “Marley had a little lamb” banner – how cute is that, right?!
I loved her idea and when we started chatting about the party details, my mind started swimming with ideas and inspiration!
She mentioned she would be going the cupcake route, so we chatted about cupcake toppers – and I came up with the idea to emboss and punch some scalloped circles and ovals in order to make little lambs for the toppers! I couldn’t resist adding some glittery eyes with lashes, pink nose and sweet smile 🙂
And when she mentioned getting plush lambs in lieu of goodie bags, I offered the idea to make little tags to tie around the lamb neck with ribbon. Voila… instant thank you’s!
PROJECT TIP: When planning your parties, be sure to carry the theme across as many components as possible. Incorporating textures, shapes and using colors consistently helps keep your theme cohesive!

I hope you are inspired to make some fun party paper crafts! And since I mentioned inspiration, I have to point out that my friend Stephanie Ackerman is hosting a FREE ONLINE CLASS TODAY!
