MakeItMondayCircle-FALL2015

Welcome to another Make It Monday! I’m so excited to share this project with you! I’ve been wanting / needing to make it for a while, and it finally made it’s way up the priority list!

My daughters are both Girl Scouts – one is a Brownie and one is a Daisy. Our Brownies Troop Leader had mentioned a Kaper Chart would be helpful for the girls to start taking on more responsibilities during meetings. When I heard it was a paper crafted project, of course I offered to make it! Our Brownies picked the Unicorn for their troop crest, and the minute I received the Top Dog Dies Unicorn Die Set, I knew I wanted to use it for the Kaper Chart!

Here’s my supply list:

And here’s what I did to make this:

  1. I cut out the Unicorn on white cardstock, the horn in gold, the mane and extra hair tuft from the multi-colored cardstock, using Big Shot Die Cutting machine.
  2. I glued the patterned paper onto the foam core
  3. Large and medium rectangles cut to frame unicorn pieces and letters/numbers, and glued onto foam core.
  4. Letters and numbers were cut using the Slice machine and Vintage Findings cartridge; glued onto green rectangles.
  5. Green cardstock and pocket page die from the Fall Die Set used to create background for Unicorns.
  6. Unicorns and accessories glued onto green die cuts, names handwritten onto cards, then laminated and hand fussy cut.
  7. Titles (responsibilities) created and cut using Silhouette Cameo.
  8. Velcro pieces added to backs of laminated pieces (soft velcro side on adhered to laminated piece, pokey velcro side adhered to large pink rectangle on foam core boards).

I seriously love the way this came out and think the Brownie Troop will as well! The chart will not only help them be responsible and show they care, but the unicorns I’m sure will be a big hit with the girls!

MakeItMondayCircle-FALL2015Be sure to continue the Make It Monday circle and head on over to my dear friend Alice at Scrapbook Wonderland. We’ve all had those “how embarrassing!” moments, and Alice will convince you to share a cringeworthy story on your next layout! Seriously, the girl never disappoints, so be sure to head on over!

As always, thanks for stopping by my little colorful spot on the web! Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! And make sure you’re on the Clicky Chick Creates email list so you don’t miss a thing! Sign up here!

Live (and plan) creatively!
