The daily prompts from Lain at Layout a Day (LOAD) are always inspiring and help me create layouts and document stories that I don’t normally think to tell. Just like when I heard the prompt “Seeds of the Future,” my mind went to my aptitude tests from high school and that the careers I have chosen have closely aligned with those choices (business school/marketing, fashion merchandising, architecture). But as I searched for photos to help tell that story, I came across the photo I used of my 10-yr old self trying to play the guitar!
I knew immediately the story I needed to document was how important music has always been to our family. I pulled some old My Mind’s Eye papers and had fun punching and fussy cutting the hexagons and adding layers and dimension to the layout. Getting the journaling into hexagons was a bit tricky using Word, but I wanted to continue the theme!
Are there seeds from your past that have developed in unexpected ways? I’d love to hear about it in the comments, even share a link to a photo, a layout, a blog post… anything that helps tell your story!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!
xoxo,
