Welcome to another Make It Monday! Are you enjoying the series? Our circle has shared great ideas and inspiration covering scrapbooking, card making, mixed media, digital scrapbooking, templates, paper crafting, party supplies, and so much more! Speaking of party supplies, I just created this watercolor Garden Party printable kit, inspired by my 8 yr old when she was wearing an outfit with these colors! I love when that happens 🙂

I decided to make a watercolor inspired set of party goodies that could work for a spring or summer birthday party but not just for kids. I really was envisioning this being ideal for birthday girls and women with class, elegance, style and great attention to detail! It just screams elegant garden party to me! Okay, maybe not “screams”, maybe more like a ladylike squeal-of-delight 🙂

My Etsy store is mostly stocked with physical items that get shipped to customers (lots of banners) and I love sharing my creations with customers throughout the US. But I wanted to created printable files that can be used to make a party banner, cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers and straw flags anywhere in the world! How adorable are all of these?! The only tools you need is a printer, scissors and glue! But I love that anyone can feel like a maker and crafter using printables – it’s the best of both worlds, and super creative and easy!

Make It Monday // Green Watercolor Card

Welcome to our Make It Monday: “Green” circle! You may have noticed some of our Monday’s have themes? Well today we’re sharing Green posts! I took it quite literal, but you’ll have to read along on the circle to see how the other creatives interpreted green! So, here we go…

It’s been a while since I made a watercolor card, so that’s exactly what I wanted to this week. I knew the colors I wanted to use and the stamps/embossing I wanted to do, too! I really do love when an idea or inspiration hits and it turns out like I was hoping it would!

The Tim Holtz Distress Inks are the easiest and most versatile way of creating gorgeous watercolor projects. Watercolor Butterflies Birthday Card {Feeling Crafty}

I’m sharing another crafty creation! Cards in back-to-back posts?! Not typical, but I couldn’t wait to share this one! I’ve been wanting to play with watercolors, and I’ve seen Tim Holtz do the watercolor effects using the water brush pen and his distress inks, so I decided to stop “wanting” and just “do” it! {Notice that “Just Do It” has been a theme in my life lately? If you missed the blog tour where 26 bloggers (including moi) shared our “lessons learned” from April Bowles of Blacksburg Belle’s CreativeLive class, check out my post here. And check out April’s post too – she has a contest where lucky winners will get their hands on some of her tools – marketing for creatives and blogging goodies – just for commenting!}

Back to this yummy watercolored card… You’ll see in the video how easy it was to do. Seriously. Super. Duper. Easy. And aren’t the colors delish? I was inspired by a few of my favorite sites, including: Fusion Challenge, Two Peas in a Bucket June Mood Board and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Some videos (like mine) will focus on one project or technique, but honestly, the ones I’ve learned the most from are classes with more meat, like the True Stamp classes!
