Welcome to another Make It Monday! It’s been so long since I’ve been able to share a Plan with Me Video, but I’m happy to say I finally have a new one up on YouTube! I shared most of these stickers in the Make It Monday post last week, but now you can see them in action!
The video shows my process on a weekly layout, the February monthly layout and the February mission board! Lots of planner fun! Mixed media – ink, stencils, masking, stickers – I hope you find inspiration and have some creative time!
Do you set up yearly or monthly goals? The mission board has been fantastic for helping me look at my goals in a new way! My One Little Word for the year is FOCUS, so every month I focus on a few areas in life, and set 3 attainable-yet-making-me-stretch goals to reach towards. Works for me, so I thought I’d share!
I hope you enjoy the video! And it wouldn’t be a complete Make It Monday without heading over to check out some more crafty fun! Be sure to visit the ever so crafty Alison at Day Designing – she’s sharing how she conquered her die cut dilemma. Maybe you’ll be inspired to conquer your own!
As always, thanks for stopping by my little colorful spot on the web! Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! And make sure you’re on the Clicky Chick Creates email list so you don’t miss a thing! Sign up here!
Live (and plan) creatively!

Welcome to our Make It Monday: “Green” circle! You may have noticed some of our Monday’s have themes? Well today we’re sharing Green posts! I took it quite literal, but you’ll have to read along on the circle to see how the other creatives interpreted green! So, here we go…
It’s been a while since I made a watercolor card, so that’s exactly what I wanted to this week. I knew the colors I wanted to use and the stamps/embossing I wanted to do, too! I really do love when an idea or inspiration hits and it turns out like I was hoping it would!
The Tim Holtz Distress Inks are the easiest and most versatile way of creating gorgeous watercolor projects. Check out my YouTube videos – this one in particular walks you through the step-by-step process to make this, and I share lots of tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years! From saving money to using up all the ink on your craft mat…
Ready to continue to Make It Monday fun? How do you bring special attention to a special object of a story? Have you ever scrapped your shoes? Alice at Scrapbook Wonderland shares her lucky shoes with us! Check out Alice’s post – her creativity is splendid and she shares tips and tricks quite generously!
Need more inspiration?
Are you looking for some creative inspiration? Join me, my friend Carole from Scrapbook Campus and about a dozen other designers as we share Inspiration: A to Z – a free month long inspiration series, working through every letter of the alphabet and areas to scrapbook, make cards, projects and more! It’s free, so you’ve got nothing to lose! We just started yesterday, March 1st and it will run until March 26th, so jump in now before you miss any more of the alphabet!
Another great event to gather inspiration from is the annual True Stamp event. Whether you’re a newer stamper looking to advance your skills, a more experienced paper crafter wanting an inspiration infusion, or a stamping dabbler looking to use your supplies in new ways, you need to hear about True Stamp! My friend Lain Ehmann of True Scrap has pulled together six of the hottest stamping companies around to offer a full day of inspiration and fun… Including Lawn Fawn, Technique Tuesday, Paper Smooches, Mama Elephant, Raisin Boat, and Simon Says Stamp.
True Stamp is a one-day, online, LIVE event on March 28. All six classes will come to YOU via the magic of the Internet in a state-of-the-art web room. You’ll watch class demonstrations, chat with instructors and other students, and have the time of your stampy life – all without leaving home (or even changing out of your PJs!). I hope you’ll join me and a few hundred other of your new stamp-loving BFF’s ❤ Click Here to Sign Up!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! Make sure not to miss any future posts by signing up for the Clicky Chick Creates email list here! You’ll get a great little freebie download as my thank you. What’s the freebie? My go-to shot list: 7-must get photos for kid birthdays!

PS. I love playing along with card challenges like the Curtain Call and Simon Says Stamp! Where do you find your inspiration?
I’m so excited to kick-off a new creative blog hop with a few crafty and creative friends from all corners of the world!
We’re a pretty crafty bunch, with everything from Scrapbooking to Art, Embroidery to Photo Management, paper to digital – really, a little bit of everything! Initially, I met many of these gals through a Layoutaday, and then more through a crafty Facebook group. Either way, we all share a passion of crafting and sharing, so the idea hit me that as much as I enjoy checking out their blogs and sites, you might like the same!
Every Monday, a few of us will be sharing our creations with each other and you, our fabulous friends and readers! I hope you’ll pop on over and check out what everyone is up to, creatively speaking of course. It always amazes me where we’re able to find inspiration, especially in those unexpected and unfamiliar to us gems!
To start off our tour, I’m sharing a fun tag I made for a tag swap last month when I went to Arizona for a creative retreat. I was actually lucky to meet some of these fabulous gals in person, and now you’ll be meeting them in our Make It Monday posts – talk about a fantastic treat all around!
Part of the fun in meeting up with a couple dozen friends from all over North America at our retreat was a fun game we played, guessing who made which tag, based on a few clues within the tag and how it represented each creative mastermind behind it 🙂 Being from San Diego, I couldn’t help but incorporate the beach into my tag. Not too subtle!
I had a blast making this tag! One of my favorite parts was adding texture to the Starfish (or is it called a Sea Star?!). Can you guess what I used to add texture? Check out this short video clip to find out…
If you’d like to learn how to make this tag from start to finish, stay tuned as I’ll be posting my downloadable class on the Clicky Chick Creates Etsy shop!
Now head on over to check out more crafty goodness… You may have come from my friend Karen at Photos Kept Alive – she has great tips – for both digital and paper crafters! Even if you didn’t come from her site, be sure to head back to check out her post! But first, check out my friend Margareta at Use Your Stash and be ready for a visual and creative feast! Margareta is one of those incredibly creative types who makes it all look fun, has great tips, and definitely empowers us to use what we have! Head on over and let her know I sent you! I hope you enjoy our inaugural Make It Monday blog hop!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! Make sure not to miss any future posts by signing up for the Clicky Chick Creates email list here! You’ll get a great little freebie download as my thank you!
I’ve been blessed with three Mom’s in my life: my mama-mama, my step-mama and my mama-in-law. Each has helped shape me into the person I am today, and for that I will always be grateful! Yes, even my MIL – can you believe she’s been in my life for 23 years? How can that be considering I still sometimes think (and act!) like I’m in my 20’s?!
Anywho, I designed this Mother’s Day card to send to all the mamas and I sure do hope they like them! Are you ready for Sunday? If you haven’t made your card(s) yet, there’s still time! What’s the old saying our mamas always said? “Better late than never!”
In case you haven’t made a card yet, I even made a video showing the process. Go ahead – give it a try!
Forgot to mention that I had planned to use the entire label that was stamped, but then realized it was too wide for the jar. The Fiskars Oval ‘n Oval Again punch came to the rescue!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day! Live creatively! xoxo, /c
PS. If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I love challenges! Here are some challenges that helped inspire this card! Be sure to check them out and all the amazingness in the linky parties!
Check out this layout I created highlighting a recent Crazy Hair Day photo! Any guesses who inspired the look?! My girls have such colorful personalities, I wanted to make the page bright and bold to match them… and of course getting creative time is always a pleasure : )
