Seriously, I can’t believe how long it’s been since I posted a craft project! So I decided to change that this weekend by playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge #2. Have you checked it out yet? Such a fantastic place to find inspiration… you can use the sketch or the photo or both to inspire your creation! Awesome fun!!
To create this card, I started with creating the sunburst on the card base using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade with a foam / ink blending tool and Heidi Swapp’s Sunshine Stencil. Next, I grabbed a sheet of gray patterned paper from a 6×6 My Mind’s Eye “Breeze” paper pad. I trimmed the paper and punched borders using Fiskars “Bubble” Border Punch. I then grabbed a black piece of cardstock and white embossed the “you make me happy when skies are grey” sentiment from KaiserCraft’s Texture Stamp You. Using the Parties design card for Slice, I cut out balloons, edged them in Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot, then glued them down, forming a somewhat random, somewhat organized cluster of balloons! Then with the Signo Broad White Pen, I added faux stitching around the card and added “strings” and a bow. Ta-da!
What would you create with the photo and / or sketch below? Are you playing along with the Fusion Challenge? The color palettes and sketches are super inspiring!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
Live creatively!
