Oh yes, I’m scrapbooking about Christmas! I know, it’s May and we’re having an insane heat wave in California, but this month is LOAD514 (Layout A Day) and I’m a Featured Designer! The prompt “Dear Santa” inspired me to tell the story about the “letters to santa” mailing tube I bought way before my hubby and I had kids! I guess I was dreaming about babies instead of sugar plums that winter 🙂
When creating this page, the alphas I had in my stash were the perfect size, a great clean font, but they just didn’t have the pizzazz I wanted so I heat embossed them using Versamark and a glitter/tinsel embossing powder. And voila, exactly what I wanted!
As I picked photos and papers, I saw that it was getting a bit busy, so I decided to add the journaling to layered tags that I could tuck under the photos. Note: remember to create a bit of a pocket and NOT add tape to the section you’ll be tucking your journaling behind! Oops!
Do you scrapbook? Or create photo books? Do you journal and document your stories? That’s the stuff future generations will love to hear about! Be sure to take the time to jot down those memories – whether in your own handwriting or typed up – your kids will love reading your stories!

As always, thanks for stopping by. Have a joyful, creative, blessing filled day!
